LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Endeavor veteran Ari Greenburg has been named as President of WME.

Greenburg will oversee all operations across WME, at the agency’s Los Angeles headquarters, as well as its offices in New York, Nashville, London, and Sydney.

Greenburg’s promotion was announced Thursday by Mark Shapiro, who was promoted to president of WME parent company Endeavor on Monday.

“Over the past few years, Ari has taken on a host of new responsibilities and played an integral role in shaping the vision for the future of the agency. He is a dealmaker without peer, cares deeply about his colleagues, and knows the industry inside and out,” Shapiro said. “As we move into this next chapter, Ari is uniquely positioned to bring WME to new heights. He comes from television, but his curiosity and commitment to our leading role in the entertainment industry are extraordinary.”

Greenburg was one of the original staffers at Endeavor when it launched in 1995, and the first trainee promoted to agent at the agency following its launch. He was also the first Endeavor-minted agent to be promoted to partner at the firm.

As part of the Executive Committee at Endeavor, Greenburg helped to oversee agency’s physical expansion, and eventually its merger with the William Morris Agency in 2009 to form WME.

Since then, Greenburg has developed a reputation as a top literary agent, representing some of top talent in the industry, and dealmaking for clients such as Amblin Partners, Greg Berlanti, Dan Fogelman, Michael Green, Carlton Cuse, Adam Horowitz & Edward Kitsis, Brian Koppelman & David Levien, Shawn Levy, Rob McElhenney, Marti Noxon, the Russo Bros., and Josh Singer.
