Simone shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Parade. She says that she loves making smoothies in the morning. "I try to have breakfast. That's something I really aim to do, which is sometimes tricky when you start at 4 in the morning. I usually make the Fab Four Smoothie that Kelly LeVeque created. I find that keeps me full all day. It's got the protein and healthy fats in it."
For Simone, wellness means doing what makes her happy. "My dad is a Buddhist and he taught me that you should do what makes you happy in life," she explained to Parade. "That your wellness is directly linked to your happiness. So I feel like that's a healthy approach for me. If I indulge and eat a cupcake or spend four hours on the couch binge-watching Queer Eye for the Straight Guy with a girlfriend of mine, I leave happier. I'm smiling. I know that's something that's beneficial for me."
Simone shared some of her workout secrets with HelloGiggles. "I like working out with someone, otherwise I don't feel motivated—I like company," she said. "So I work out with Amy Rosoff, who's a phenomenal trainer. I actually worked out with her really intensively to get ready to shoot a pilot called The Greatest American Hero—so when I was training to get into a super-suit. Trust me, you want someone who can whip you into shape and get really good results."
For Simone, fitness is a daily practice. She tells Parade, "I try to work out every day. Just a good time and space to not only do something that's physically good for me, but you put your phone down and you're just a little more in tune with your body. Those are the things I try to do because I just feel better about myself at the end of the day when I do them."
Simone explained to HelloGiggles why her wellness routine is all about simplicity. "When I used to take 12 vitamins, and every single time I'd go back to the store I would grab a few more, I found that really stressful because I didn't know if it was doing anything. When I used to have a gym membership and I would feel guilty because I never went, and then when I would go I would just wander around, then it felt like work. Now, it doesn't feel daunting anymore."
